IF you are looking for a new amplifier for your Hifi set up, then you need look no further.
This brand new amp from TEAC, giants in audio technology from Japan (TEAC stands for Tokyo Electro Acoustics Company), is about as good as it gets in all three of the major tick boxes.

50 years of research and development have put TEAC at the cutting edge of hi-fi quality, and use only top grade components in this amplifier. No short cuts are taken to provide the best possible sound from the individual components used in the construction, from capacitors to transformers to binding posts. All assembled with sound quality in mind.
2. It is packed with sensible, simple features.
It has a massive 2 x 90 watts (8 ohm) power output, which although we would not recommend having full throttle on a regular basis, allow it to handle any musical situation you may throw at it-with ease. Connectivity is top-notch. The AR650 also features 4 line level inputs for devices such as CD players and tuners, a turntable input and two tape loops for connecting recording devices. On the front panel you'll find a headphone socket and a microphone input - ideal for karaoke! All this plus full remote control operation (which can also control other compatible Teac separates), two independently selectable speaker outputs and a motorised volume control. This means with two sets of speakers attached in two different rooms, you can fill your house with the music of your choice. And of course the speaker connections are secure, screw down binding posts and not spring clips. This also makes it suitable for bi-wiring. A source direct function allows you to by pass the tone controls and get the purest, shortest path from source to speakers for the premium sound.
3. It looks brilliant.
In keeping with their traditional design roots, TEAC have gone for the classic feel here-large rotary dials, reminiscent of 1950s styled radio sets and have steered away from flashing lights and displays, which may look impressive but add little to the overall feel of quality. All the major controls are the same, the rotary dial is used six times, giving it a pleasing , retro appearance. The black finish adds to the iron fist in velvet glove aura.
