Minolta Autopak 600-X Collectable Camera

Minolta Autopak 600-X Collectable Camera

Share

This very unusual and pretty rare camera dates back from around the early 1970s. It uses 126 cartridge films, which may be getting a little hard to come by now-so we consider this a collectors peice rather than a day to day camera to use for photography.

This Minolta Autopak has a cracking good lens on it, the Minolta ROKKOR 38mm f2.8 semi wide angle, a zone manual focus system on the side and manual wind with a magic-cube flash port on top.It has a bright line viewfinder , which is a little dusty now, and runs off a PX-640 battery-not supplied.

If you click on the image above, you can see a photo of the rear of the Autopak, which is made in Japan!

  • What Hank says

"Some guitarists think of the USA as the only source of quality electric guitars, and for the most part they are correct. However, there are many of us who remember the superb range of guitars designed and made by BURNS GUITARS, a British company.

Way back in 1963, Jim Burns, the founder of the Company, worked closely with myself and Bruce Welch of The Shadows to design a guitar which would have the style, sound, and playability we required. Together we developed the 'BURNS MARVIN' a fine guitar, which I played on record, stage and screen from 1964 thru to 1970 when, unfortunately, my guitars were stolen, never to be seen again, well not by me!

I am delighted that BURNS GUITARS are still in the business of making quality instruments, and in particular the new 'BURNS MARVIN.'

Playing this new "Marvin" brings back a host of memories; such as the recording of "The Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt", together with many other Shadows tracks I recorded with my BURNS.

The new "BURNS MARVIN" plays superbly and I am very happy to be the proud owner of one of these fine guitars, it plays and sounds as good as my original.

    Burns Info

Back in the early 1960s, Jim Burns' guitars were a significant part of the home-grown UK guitar market, alongside names like Vox and Watkins. The company produced monsters like the Bison (launched in 1961 and soon to be re-released) with its four pickups (later cut down to three), plus the Split Sonic, Vista Sonic, and the Marvin, designed in 1964 and named after Hank when The Shadows became endorsees for Burns. We are offering a selection of the Burns instruments and accessories here.
