Minolta Autopak 600-X Collectable Camera

Minolta Autopak 600-X Collectable Camera

Share

This very unusual and pretty rare camera dates back from around the early 1970s. It uses 126 cartridge films, which may be getting a little hard to come by now-so we consider this a collectors peice rather than a day to day camera to use for photography.

This Minolta Autopak has a cracking good lens on it, the Minolta ROKKOR 38mm f2.8 semi wide angle, a zone manual focus system on the side and manual wind with a magic-cube flash port on top.It has a bright line viewfinder , which is a little dusty now, and runs off a PX-640 battery-not supplied.

If you click on the image above, you can see a photo of the rear of the Autopak, which is made in Japan!

The best selling Marquee has been supercharged!

The original was released around 1999, and sold really well and won an award-Guitar of the year!

Well, there have been improvements made, and this is the result, an absolutely stunning upgrade that puts this in a class of it's own at this price point.

The looks stand out from the crowd and is undeniably a time travel back to the hey day of the Swinging Sixties and an era of British superiority in the world music scene. Burns have been used by many bands back then but probably best remembered for being the brand of choice of The Shadows, and Hank Marvin.

But what upgrades have been made?

The biggest one is the electronics, and chiefly the pick ups-the original Rez-O-Matics have been replaced with a set of three Burns Patented TriSonic pickups, similar to those used an the Brian May Red Specials.

In addition, Burns have taken style points from the top of the range Hank Marvin re-issue and put them on to the Marquee Pro.
All the Rotary dials are styled the same as those on the Marvin, and the three piece scratch plate has the Mother Of Pearl style effect gloss finish

Finally the machine heads and bridge/trem system are now made and supplied by Wilkinson, another Brit at the vanguard of instrument technology, further improving the Marquee Pros pedigree amongst it's competitors.

* Wilkinson Trem & Machine Heads
* Three Tri-Sonic Pickups
* Basswood body
* Bi-flex two way truss rod
* Scroll headstock
* 43mm nut width
* Bolt-on hardrock maple neck
* Rosewood Fingerboard
* Classic polyester finish
* Five way selector switch
* Chrome hardware
* One master volume
* Two tone controls
* Push/pull pickup selector

The neck is adjustable, by means of a small aperture at the base of the neck/body area, and a Taylor made tool to do this without any removing of covers etc is supplied.

Also supplied is a wide comfy Burns shoulder strap, bridge adjustment tools, Allen key to lock the trem arm in position (Small grub screw under the bottom end of the bridge).

Finally a luxury cleaning cloth is thrown in and it all comes in a Burns branded luxury lined hard flight case, which is worth £80 in it's own right.

Shipping to UK is FREE.
